Tornado warnings and squishy fidgets and building rockets, OH MY! 🚀🛡️
From teachers and staff rocking the Adam Sandler energy, to redeeming Spartan Shields at the school store, it was a BUSY week here at South Ogden Junior High. 🎟️🧢
Mr. Ward's science class is about done making rockets and they'll get to shoot them off next week! He also paused to teach the students about tornados after an impromptu crazy storm passed over our school and produced a tornado warning. 🌪️
The Spartan store collected the old Spartan Shields from students and they got to either exchange them out for NEW Shields or spend the old ones on all kinds of squishy toys, key chains, fidgets, tech decks, and more.
The NEW and improved Shields don't only look awesome, but I hear the rewards will be EVEN BIGGER than before. A student can earn a Shield at school by being Safe, Responsible, or Respectful and we are eager to reward our awesome Spartans! 🤓✨🛡️

Jim Robinson, the Founder of the Weber Fire Honor Guard and Assistant Chief at Hill AFB Fire Department, helped students understand the importance of caring for our country's flag. It was clear that Robinson, an Air Force Veteran who served for 28 years, is extremely passionate about Flag Etiquette.💙
Not only did he put on a meaningful presentation, but he involved several students in his demonstration of how to fold the flag to store it properly. I'd say it was a success! ⭐
