Fast Feet, Safe Slides, Big Wins for the Final Part of the Softball Season!

The SOJH Spartans softball team closed out their season with a heartbreaking loss to Rocky Mountain Junior High, finishing fifth overall after a season full of hard-fought victories.

Behind every win was hard work, and that was clear in 7th grader Avery Denoyer's performances on the mound.

When interviewed, Avery shared that, from her perspective, “The worst part of playing was when I strike out.”

However, anyone watching the final games of the season could see how hard Avery worked and how much she improved. And she wasn't alone! The entire team made major improvements throughout the season, which were especially clear in their final games.

When asked about the season and her experience coaching, Coach Denoyer shared:

“I really had fun this season. These girls are a lot of fun to be around. My favorite part of coaching is watching the girls learn and get better and watching all of their practice pay off throughout the season.”

Coach Denoyer said it best! Watching these girls work hard and seeing all that effort pay off made this season worth it.

Until next year, Spartans!
