It is a great day to be a Spartan! We have some truly "breathtaking" news to share with our South Ogden Junior High community regarding our incredible students and our hardworking English Language Arts (ELA) team.
Our school recently received the results of the latest CommonLit reading assessments, and the data is nothing short of elite. Not only are our students performing at the highest level in the entire district, but they have officially met the lofty goal of scoring "well above the national average" for the entire United States!
In fact, our growth was so significant that the district actually had to create a brand-new "Elite" category just to categorize the consistent achievement happening here at SOJH.
This level of success is a direct result of the tireless hard work, intentional collaboration, and visionary leadership within our ELA department. We are so grateful for our wonderful English teachers who show up every day dedicated to moving the needle for our students. Their passion for literacy is changing lives and setting our Spartans up for a bright future.
We are so proud of our students and staff for proving once again that South Ogden Junior High is a shining example of academic excellence.
