Student requesting help while making posters.

Get ready for hope week with our very own Hope Squad!

Here is Jonas Whitehead making a poster to advertise Hope week here at our very own school SOJH! Jonas says that their favorite part of being in Hope squad is getting to know the members and student government and participating in Hope Week! Mrs.Eberahard  says being with students is her favorite part of Hope squad getting to connect with them as well. Our Hope squad meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday in the library during spartan forum. During this time the Hope squad takes the time to decide all the activities and the daily theme of Hope Week. When they are not planning anything they take the time to discuss how to make our school a safer place for people. They come up with ways to be more out to the school to help more people that they come across. They learn ways to help people seeking help. And you don’t have to be in Hope Squad to help! Hope squad is just people to realize that they are people to help you, but anyone can help anyone and if you are worried about a friend or just someone you know, tell an adult or a counselor. That shows that you care and you can be anonymous. Nobody has to know that you told or you can always use the SAFE UT app and submit a tip!
