Wind Update

Dear Spartan Families,

We are so sorry we were not able to get this to you sooner. SOJH will be open and school will be in session tomorrow Thursday, Sept. 10th. Our school building and grounds have been carefully inspected and are safe for students and employees to be on site. Currently, our phones and internet are down. There is a data grid down that is affecting the internet at SOJH. Our plan is to have the building open at the usual time (7:15am.) We will be following our early out schedule with school starting at 7:45am and students leaving the building at 11:30am. Lunch will be served and buses will be running. We will be following our early out schedule. We are hopeful that the phone and internet problem will be rectified very soon.

We recognize that there are still some homes and families without power in our community. We also know that some are facing other complications with damage from the wind storm. Please know that we support your decision to keep students home if you feel that is necessary. Teachers will work with students as they return to school. If you need to check your student out of school tomorrow and the system is still down, please come in through the front doors to our attendance window and we will get your student. If you need to enter the building, please continue to follow COVID policy by wearing your mask.
