Truancy Policy

Second Tardy	1 Contact parents by either note ( must come back signed by parent), email, or phone
	2 Warn Student of consequences for 3rd, 5th, and 6th tardies
	3 Document the action taken for the second tardy

First Truancy	1 Loss of academic credit
	2 Possible Administrative conference

Third Tardy

1 Student recieves an "N" in citizenship

Fourth Tardy	1 Contact parents by either note, email, or phone
	2 Warn Student of consequences for 5th and 6th tardies

Third Truancy	1 Loss of academic credit
	2 Recieve an "N" in class missed
	3 Teacher fills out "3rd Truancy Form" and gives it to Assistant Principal
	4 Sudent is suspended

Fifty Tardy

1 Student recieves a "U" in citizenship

Continued Truancies	1 Loss of academic credit
	2 Three to five day suspension
	3 Possible referral to District, Peer Court, or Juvenile Court

Sixth Tardy	1 Take Student to Administration
	2 Teacher will show their documentation
	3 Student will be suspended

Hall Infractions:
First Offense	Warning "Hall Infraction Notice sent home with student and signed by parent
Second Offense	"Hall Infraction Notice issued, call to parents is made
Third Offense	Student suspended for violation of tardy policy

Note: If a student is 10 minutes late without an excuse note, he/she is truant.

Hall Passes: No more than 1 student per hall pass.
