Get to know our Principal:

It is my pleasure to serve you as Principal at South Ogden Junior High School.  This year begins my 31st year in Secondary Education, and 29 of those years in Weber School District. Throughout those years I have gained many wonderful experiences to offer support to our school in various responsibilities, including 8 years in secondary administration in the Bonneville Cone, and 7 years as Principal at North Ogden Junior High.
 
My educational background contains a Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University, BYU Provo, Utah State University teaching certificate and Masters of Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I am certified to teach five subjects and want to continue to be a lifelong learner with many more opportunities to grow.
 
I am celebrating 34 years of marriage this year and have been blessed with four beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with them.  I specifically enjoy learning about other cultures, which has taken me around the world in many countries. During my elementary experience I lived in Japan for six years.
 
It is a privilege to lead South Ogden Junior High with the talented teachers, staff and students. My goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture for teaching and learning. Through this each individual person can experience growth at their highest potential.  I look forward to interacting with all stakeholders to continue the successful trends with our community.

  • Owned and managed a family business for 25 years
  • Licensed to teach English and Spanish
  • Started in education and Weber school district in the 2012-13 school year at Orion JRH
  • Moved to Fremont HS in 16-17 
  • Admin internship 20-21 Bonneville
  • Admin internship 21-22 Fremont
  • 22-23 SOJH!
  • Married 28 years this summer
  • 5 kids and 1 grandbaby
  • I enjoy travel, motorcycle rides, movies, and good food
