This Friday, March 18th,  is an early out in order to give teachers time to wrap up third quarter and prepare for the upcoming term. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 PM.

Please encourage your students to get any and all make-up work in early this week so that it can be graded and posted on their 3^rd term report card.

Our girls’ basketball team has a playoff game for the championship on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at home against Orion. They’ve had a great season and ended up placing second in regular season play with a 7-1 record. We congratulate them as we begin to look forward to our spring sports. Track and baseball both start today.

We had a fantastic National Junior Honor Society Induction last Thursday. We have 118 returning members and 87 new inductees. This is one of the largest chapters in the district. We are proud of these students as they strive for excellence and want to thank our advisers for the work they do with them.

The Goldenwest 5K Race is this Saturday at 8:30 AM. They will take late registrations the morning of the race. This is a great fundraiser, as 100% of the entry fees come back to the school of your choice. If you can’t participate, but would still like to help, you can “like” their Facebook page and vote for our school in their contest tab at https://www.facebook.com/goldenwestcu/app/116943498446376

I want to thank our PTSA board for all they have done for the school this year. They’ve organized some great events and done fantastic things for the students and staff. They are looking for someone to help with the Reflections contest for next year. If you are interested in helping, please reply to this email and I’ll pass the information to them.

Weber School District values stakeholder input as part of our education evaluation and improvement process. We are seeking feedback from parents and guardians regarding their student’s teacher(s) and support staff. The information collected from the surveys will be used to inform and increase educator effectiveness in our schools. We are asking for your participation. In order to do so please access the survey by logging into “MyWeber” at http://myweber.wsd.net which is the portal for information (grades, attendance, etc.) for your student. If you have not registered there is a link there to start that process. Once you have signed into MyWeber there will be a survey link. Selecting that link will start the survey where you can choose individually the teachers and support staff that are associated with your student. This list may include counselors, media specialists, special education teachers and related service providers. The survey will be accessible February 1 through May 2, 2016.
